Pernebsati M.A.T.
Shenmiakhu Pernebsati is a strategist, consultant, executive coach, and educator dedicated to social justice and community empowerment. Raised in Oakland, he was inspired by his parents' activism and public health work, leading to his involvement in initiatives such as redirecting resources from the Oakland Police Department to support a community-led Civilian Police Review Board, now known as the 'Police Commission'.
He has successfully advocated against racial profiling and hate crimes, served on statewide committees to reform policing policies, and co-founded Community Conscious Policing to redress violence through public health approaches.
His impactful contributions include co-establishing the Portland Committee on Community-Engaged Policing and the Latino Advisory Commission for Washington County. Featured in national media such as Forbes and TMZ Live, Shenmiakhu continues to coach leaders and teach as an Assistant Professor on the West Coast.
